The design of the artifact is seen through the typical C shape dragon head with the rectangular base which remains unfinished without final touch. The mouth and the nose compose a simple and clean structure. There are three lines with smooth curvature above the nose. The eyes are carved with the shape of water drop which circumvent with double slant incised line. Another round curved incised line is seen above the eyes. On the head is the typical hair of C shape dragon of the Hongshan culture. The lines of the object are smooth and streamlined. The archaic evidence of differential weathering and dissolved pits are obvious.
